Pedestrians πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™€οΈGo First!

I was walking my dog today and I once again encountered cars driving around me. As I was trying to cross the street on my light, a driver looked me in the eye. I thought he would stay and let me pass. This guy almost hit my dog trying to get ahead of me! Unbelievable!! Upon impact, I cannot hurt that car but that car can kill me! We all know that cars stop for pedestrians.

In Gettysburg, Pennsylvania there are practically no traffic lights. Cars come to an immediate stop at the site of a pedestrian. This does not happen in my neighborhood.

Thinking about these little things that bother me makes me wonder, β€œshould they?.” So, I reach into my Svadayaya bag of tricks and I find a great little book called The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

On My Yogic Path, I understand that peace is found within. There is nothing outside of me that can give me personal growth nor bring me peace and happiness. These Four Agreements speak to this truth.

Agreement 1 – Be impeccable with your word.

Agreement 2 – Don’t take anything personally.

Agreement 3 – Don’t make assumptions.

Agreement 4 – Always do your best.

During these days of Covid 19 and quarantine, it is easy to get bogged down in what irritates and annoys us. Just smile, stay safe, wear a mask, read a spiritual or self improvement book and enjoy yourself. All things come to pass and so shall Covid and other annoying situations.

Yoga is a great way to look inside for peace.

Hi and welcome to My Yogic Path! I became a Yoga Teacher recently in my 60s! I am a woman, mother, wife, sister, cousin, in-law, K-8 retired teacher, and more. As I age, I felt great anxiety letting go of things that do not serve me today, what I have not yet accomplished, my purpose, questioning my beliefs, anticipating a fear of death, and much more. I found myself progressing from a full and busy life to a less full and sedentary life wherein there is much time for reflection. Enjoying Yoga at the gym starting in my 40s, my daughter and son-in-law becoming Yoga Teachers, I decided I wanted the peace I gained being with these fellow Yogis. I also felt drawn to REIKI healing and pursued this path becoming a Reiki practitioner. Life has led me down and up many paths. This Yogic Path gives me insight, strength, and peace when I need it most. Enjoy this blog with me as I continue.
